Graphic Designer



Hi! Marcela (she/her) is a multidisciplinary Senior Designer based in NYC. Marcela has experience in Graphic Design at design studios and institutions and specializes in creative campaigns, branding, cross-functional teamwork.

In New York, Marcela worked as a Visual Designer at Verbal + Visual web agency and as a Graphic and Visual Designer at Kiss Me I’m Polish. More recently, she completed the Intensive TypeParis 2023 Type Design course in Paris, where she designed a custom typeface for feminist posters.She is currently working at the Communication and Marketing Department at Pratt Institute.

Brazilian, born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Marcela has a BFA degree in Graphic Design. While she was still in college, Marcela won her first prize award among young designers (aged 40 and below) at the Macef Design Awards in Italy. 

This accomplishment was followed by:

  • IF Design Award in Germany
  • Museu da Casa Brasileira (São Paulo, Brazil)
  • Rio + Milan Design Exhibition (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil / Milan, Italy)
  • Arc Design Magazine Award, (São Paulo, Brazil)
  • Brasil Faz Design Award (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
  • IV Prêmio Housewares & Gift Fair, (São Paulo, Brazil).

Marcela is passionate about meditation.
